The NZCT Women’s Cycle Tour of New Zealand starts on Wednesday 23rd February at 2.30pm with a stage from Martinborough to Masterton and finish on Sunday 2tth February with a Wellington Criterium in Lambton Quay.
On day one riders will face the Te Wharau hill in the Wairarapa. In stages two and five riders take on two of the most difficult and hilly stages in the tour, a 125kmts race from Palmerston North to Masterton via the demanding 12km long Pahiatua Track hill on Thursday 25 and back on Saturday 27.
This is the biggest international women’s cycling event in New Zealand and the only UCI women’s event stage in Oceania.
Riders from Australia, Japan, China, Germany, USA, South African, The Netherlands as well as the best women riders from New Zealand will be taking part in the event.
